Valentine’s Day in Miami, 2015 will be one for the books.
9 Mile Entertainment set the stage for an amazing day at the Miami-Dade County Fairgrounds and Expo Center and it’s annual 9 Mile Music Festival. Real reggae lovers showed up early to the 12:30gates so as not to miss a beat (literally). Nature, Jesse Royal, Future Prezidents, Tanya Stephens, and Iqualah Rastafari were to take us on a Jamaican reggae journey through out the sunshine hours with Hawaii’s The Green to wisp you into sunset. The 9 Mile Music Festival spans over 10 HOURS and the music does not stop! As the day went on you could stretch your legs and peruse the many Jamaican themed vendor booths selling glass, beads, jewelery, conga drums, and endless stretches of Jamaican flags and Bob Marley merchandise that surrounded the property for your shopping pleasures. Crab cakes, Conch Salads and Caribbean cuisine aroma filled the air and many bellies. This event had a GREAT group of bartenders who were polite and knew how to have a great time while pouring cocktails of your choice. Capleton, Joe Mersa and SOJA would keep the night stirring up. Until last but not least as an epic headliner, Damien, Julian AND Stephen Marley came on stage together to perform hours of music from their solo albums and of course their fathers (Bob Marley) music with transitions like One Love into Buffalo Soldier! Needless to say, 9 Mile Music Festival was a great time for all.
And it was on a sweet and cool Miami Saturday night, Yolo Rum drink in your hand watching the Marley family fill the air with positive vibrations that it hits you that THIS is living and you should soak it up because… You Only Live Once.
